1-2-1 counselling expands
You know you can come to our FREE 1-2-1 counselling at either our High Wycombe or Aylesbury offices.
You might not be aware that we also offer the service at BCUC – the university centred on High Wycombe.
We are also just starting to offer it at Amersham & Wycombe College, who have a number of campuses across Bucks.
These sites are aimed primarily at their students who are considering starting a business,
but if it’s more convenient for you to visit us at one of those premises, we may be able to accommodate you.
Supplier Matching Service (SMS)
We’ve always been happy to highlight this service, available from Business Link.
It’s a way of finding a local supplier in a particular trade – solicitor, accountant, web designer etc.
The way it differs from a simple directory is that a reasonably rigorous procedure needs to be completed,
including offering references from happy customers/clients. If you want to use the service to find a supplier,
you’ll find it
here
and if you want to register as a supplier you should go to
here
to start the process.
We’ve always highlighted this service, but we’ve never actually registered ourselves as a
supplier of business advice! We’ve now gone through that process, except for the client testimonials.
If you’ve been helped by us in the past, as a pre-start or as a trading business, please do send us a brief
testimonial to use as support for our application. We do like to publish a few testimonials on our website
(click
here
for a few of these) – if you do email us something to support our SMS application, please make clear whether
or not we can also use it on our website.
Targeted training/help
In conjunction with the Asian Business Council, we recently ran a day’s training for 13
Asian women who are considering starting a business, helping them think through all the pros & cons
of taking that step. The event was considered a success by all those involved. If you are involved
with a group who you think would benefit from our input, please do let us know – we’d love to help you if we can.
